Suzanne Gibson

Suzanne is a warm and caring Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about facilitating change in people and empowering them to overcome their challenges. She has over 20 years’ professional experience working with people facing work-related mental health concerns, injury and trauma following a car accident and those managing chronic pain. She has assisted people to overcome suffering associated with chronic pain, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar, perinatal issues, stress, relationship difficulties and many other challenges.

Suzanne has a passion for helping people who experience chronic pain, having completed her Masters dissertation on this topic, as well as completing advanced level training in therapeutic approaches for chronic pain. She has been trained in a range of evidence-based psychological therapies so that she can draw upon a variety of strategies to suit each individual client. She uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as part of her treatment approach.
